Once upon a time in book club . . . I was surprised when a person in my book club expressed an anti-feminist sentiment. I had forgotten that this person had problems with (or, perhaps more charitably, misconceptions about) feminist politics. Imagine that the person in my book club habitually, rather than infrequently, expresses views that I interpret as anti-feminist. First thoughts on public scholarship
Philosophers want their work to matter. At least I do. This hope partially explains my website tagline, "philosophy in the world." In my first blog post, I wrote, "I seek for my philosophical work to be embedded in the world and in service to maintaining it as a space for speech and action."
